You’re invited to join Melbourne Water and local governments from across Greater Melbourne for a free information sharing and networking event focused on Integrated Water Management (IWM) Plans and Strategies.

 

The stormwater incentives team from Melbourne Water and Clearwater look forward to welcoming you to Melbourne Water’s Docklands site on 22 October, 2024. This will be an opportunity to talk about the process of undertaking an IWM strategy, the implementation of actions, lessons learnt and the outcomes that having a good strategy can achieve.

 

There will be opportunity to:

  • Explore how Council IWM strategies connect to regional, state and national water strategies: Hear about the critical positioning of IWM strategies and about Melbourne Water’s work with councils to integrate the planning and delivery of water services for the community.
  • Learn about local government case studies: Hear from fellow councils on the process of developing an IWM strategy, how to make your strategy impactful as well as their reflections on developing their own IWM strategies.
  • Participate in collaborative discussions: engage with fellow WSUD/IWM officers from councils across Greater Melbourne to exchange ideas and insights.
  • Explore funding opportunities: explore potential project funding ideas through Melbourne Water's stormwater incentives program.
