This course provides an excellent introduction and overview for those new to the concept of Water Sensitive Cities and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD). It is delivered on request and contains tailored components designed to specifically meet the individual needs of your organisation.

Audience

Council staff – all disciplines. Past experience has shown that a diversity of disciplines represented in the room generates valuable discussion and a richer learning experience.

Overview

This course provides an excellent introduction and overview for those new to the concept of Water Sensitive Cities and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD). You will learn about the range of sustainable water management techniques used across the industry, the benefits achieved by applying WSUD, as well as relevant policy and legislation. If required, a demonstration in using the online STORM calculator is also available; it allows the user to quickly assess stormwater projects, anticipate runoff volumes and meet quality targets.

A valuable component of this workshop includes a facilitated discussion session to identify your organisation's opportunities, issues and next steps.
