  • How do we work towards creating water sensitive cities in times of climate uncertainly, rapid population growth and increased demands for prosperity and urban liveability?
  • How can we balance the urban water cycle and maintain healthy ecosystems?

The Centre for Water Sensitive Cities is running a Winter School during the week of July 11-15, 2011 - a unique opportunity to hear from Australia’s leading researchers on key actions we need to undertake to create water sensitive and liveable cities.

Lectures and workshops will present latest solutions and concepts on required economic approaches, technologies for water treatment, urban design and modelling, climate change adaptation, social and government engagement. These cross disciplinary topics will all be linked to broader urban sustainability issues and lessons from the international community.

The Water Sensitive Cities Winter School is highly recommended for anyone across government and private industry requiring a comprehensive understanding on the practical elements of transitioning to a water sensitive city.
