Clearwater has delivered another of its integrated water management (IWM) capacity building workshops in Horsham for the Wimmera Mallee region. Over 30 practitioners from local government, catchment management authorities, private institutions and the department of environment, land, water and planning (DELWP) travelled to Horsham to join in on a walking tour, a networking dinner and a workshop.
The aim of the event was to start an IWM network in the region, learn about IWM, hear from peers on a number of IWM case studies in their region and start collaborations for potential IWM projects when the upcoming IWM forum comes to the region next year.
The day was a great success with excellent engagement, participation and project ideas and we would like to thank all participants that travelled far and wide to join in with so much enthusiasm on the day. This workshop was made possible by funding from DELWP to support their IWM forums that are occurring throughout Victoria.
