Water Sensitive Cities Australia have released a new practice guide (Using water to cool residential outdoor spaces) to show how easy it can be to use water wisely to create cool, comfortable outdoor areas around the home. It involves combining water, plants and architecture to create natural shade, cool the air and cool the ground.

The guide was developed in partnership with South East Water, researchers from the University of MelbourneNMBW Architecture Studio and Coolth Inc. Living Architecture.
