Clearwater presentation on implementing WSUD using their in-house training module to build organisational capacity in councils. This presentation was delivered at the 8th International Conference on Water Sensitive Urban Design on the Gold Coast on Tuesday 26th November 2013.

The need for inter-disciplinary involvement in Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) presents a challenge for many councils.  Clearwater has been addressing this by trialling new approaches to build organisational capacity by developing connections between departments, particularly in the area of maintenance of WSUD assets. Staff and managers from disparate teams share a journey of knowledge and skills building, followed by issues identification and action planning, to create the relationships, processes and commitment needed for councils to successfully implement WSUD.
