The Online Navigator Tool Resource Portal for Victoria's stormwater planning requirements was launched on the 25th of March, 2021. This video is a recording of the online launch event featuring a demonstration and a walk-through of this Tool.
This Tool has been developed in a partnership between the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) and Clearwater, to assist local planning authorities, developers, consultants, planning permit applicants and broader industry practitioners to identify what statewide stormwater planning provisions apply to subdivision or buildings and works developments within Victoria.
A number of planning system changes were made in October 2018 to improve stormwater management, by extending the requirements to a broader range of development types. This Online Navigator Tool Resource Portal is to support planning applicants and decision-makers comply with Victoria’s stormwater management requirements for land development under the Victoria Planning Provisions (VPPs).
The Portal provides step-by-step guidance and advice, providing users with the knowledge and resources they need to ensure their subdivision or buildings and works development meets Victoria’s stormwater planning requirements. The Portal is a non-statutory guide, supported by checklists and context specific guidance and resources. This comprehensive guide assists planning system users identify stormwater management requirements set out in the VPPs.
